This will lead you through the difference in Assassins creed 1 to 2.
One was good, new concept, new story, it was a untouched theme. But it was repetative boring and sort of predictible ( not in the case of everybody). The weapons were fixed and given to you. The missions were fixed and had no flexibility, it got very monotnous. The cities were great to explore and concept of free run was probably the best element of it. However Read more…

You might keep cribbing about how expensive video games are these days, but let me open your eyes as to how much publishers are actually spending to make these games. How much to reckon does it take to make a game in this time and age, maybe 1 million maximum for a Crysis like looking game. Sorry pal, bad guess, the recent hit games haven’t spent anything less than 40 million. Yes read the line again 45 MILLION US DOLLARS.
Surprised? You should be. Game publishers spend lots of money on making games and also on the their marketing to make sure that they’re huge budgets are worth the investments. Here’s the list:
Killzone 2: 45 Million USDFinal Fantasy 12: 48 Million USDLA Noire: 50 Million USDAPB: 50 Million USDHalo 3: 55Million USDMGS 4: 60 Million USDToo Human: 60+ Million USDShenmue: 70 Million USDGT 5: 80 Million USDGTA 4: 100 Million USD
Open your eyes and see them carefully, I haven’t just made these figures up, their official numbers used to create these games. If your looking to pursue a career in games, then your just looking at your recession proof profession. Since video games fall under home entertainment, the demand for these products rise as the price of goods around the world rise. Why is it so, well were in bad times, we need something to cheer us up. You’d pick a film or a bottle of alcohol or a VIDEO GAME! It’s true, the income that publishers receive from games are tremendous. A game like Modern Warfare 2 entered head on competition with Avatar the movie which were both released during the recession. The earnings for Avatar as per 13.01.10 were 1.37 billion USD whereas Modern Warfare 2 was 1 billion USD, pretty close huh? (source : www.gamespot.com/www.imdb.com)
And just to prove my point on the advertising budget, (same source as above) Avatar spent 150 Million USD whereas Modern Warfare 200 Million USD. We’ll were almost at neck to neck comparison between the two entertainments. So take my word for it, invest in companies like UbiSoft or SEGA. Forget about looking for an Audi for sale in UK, you’ll be able to afford 5 brand new ones within the first month of sales.

I find myself wondering about the games I used to play as a child (back when I spent my days hunting for cheap bicycles for sale and climbing trees because I hadn’t found girls yet) and why they don’t hold an attraction to me nowadays. Now, back in the day, most people were split strictly into two camps - those of Nintendo, and those of Sega. I’m not talking about the Spectrum days when you used to load your game Read more…
