Rayman 3D – Review

Author: admin  //  Category: General

Rayman 3D is a perked up version of the already running Rayman 2 game albeit with a set of controls that are better than the previous version and the fact that the game now is 3D capable. This gives the new game play a completely new and different look, feel and experience. The variety that the new version encompasses is much more by quantity and quality. The 3D effects naturally give the whole game a new meaning and there is increased number of replays that the game is capable of giving its enthusiast. There is however the factor that 3D technology being yet at its nascent stages does lead to the game at times suffering from start stop repetitions.

The game otherwise represents the look of 3D platform in the late 1990s. The 3D suffix may after a while seem not so relevant to the game as the technology is quite raw that has been used in the game as far as 3D stuff goes.

The game is all about collecting yellow balls and that too 1,000 of them to get the most of the game. The character or role that the player assumes is that of a limbless champion who has to save the colorful world called Glade of Dreams. The enemy in the game is a character named Admiral Razorbeard and naturally he has his team of hoodlums, in this case robot pirates. This pirate has split the world into a 1,000 lums and it is for Rayman to collect the lums. In his journey he crosses lots of area and there lies four hidden masks which contain the spirit of Polokus. This is the one who can free the word from the holds of the pirate again.

There are 19 levels and one can revisit the level played and complete it for a repeat journey. The story and the feature that allows for repeating a game play level adds that addictive feature to this otherwise also engrossing game.

All in all, this is a game that you could consider buying, if you can spend on payroll software then you can shell out a bit for this game as well.
